We measure the marketing data shared in the 'Summary' email we send to event organizers at the conclusion of each event by total potential audience. Meaning, instead of referring to estimated online and email impressions, we refer to the total, combined audience your event was directly shared with via our multiple marketing channels (social media, email, online calendars & featured event pages).
Below is a definition of terms to help you better understand how we define our total potential audience and how we measure our reporting in these summary emails:
Social Media - Includes ALL On Tap Tickets and/or Indiana On Tap social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) where you event was promoted. We do not double-count. For example, if we share your event with our Instagram audience twice leading up to the event, and the size of our audience was 14,200 at the time of each post, we only count that particular number as 14,200 (not 28,400).
Email - Includes all email subscribers of the On Tap Tickets and/or Indiana On Tap email lists. We do not double-count. For example, if we include/promote your event to an email to a list of 10,000 subscribers with 2 separate emails, we'll only count that particular number as 10,000 (not 20,000).
Online Event Calendars & Featured Event Pages - Includes the online calendar and 'Upcoming Events' pages on IndianaOnTap.com, specifically. The "Featured Events" page is included on both IndianaOnTap.com and OnTapTickets.com. This audience segment is measured by total number of unique website visitors during the last full month your event was included on IndianaOnTap.com only. (So, if our website generated 15,000 unique visitors during that last full month your event was on sale, but your event was on sale and on our website for 3 months leading up to it, we'll only count this audience as 15,000).
Targeted Impressions - The total number of potential individuals reached via the Indiana On Tap & On Tap Tickets platforms.
Matching Technology - The matching technology we reference in the 'Summary' email is based exclusively around unique email matches. Meaning, if 25 of the ticket buyers from your event (based on their unique email address) match the email address in our database from the email(s) we delivered to these same individuals to promote your event, we count those as matches. If those 25 confirmed email matches purchased a total of 50 tickets (2 tickets each), we calculate the generated ticket revenue as revenue from those 50 total tickets. We currently CAN NOT track how many or which of our social media followers or website visitors purchased a ticket to your event. So, the number of ticket buyers who purchased tickets to your event is likely much higher than we report in your Summary email.
